La Canada Flintridge Sister Cities invites you to be part of our Inaugural "Artist-in-Residence" Program, introducing world-renown Spanish painter Javier Montesol.  Montesol is a resident of our Spanish Sister City - Villanueva de La Cañada.  He is known for his iconic paintings of Spanish dancers and depictions of Spanish culture. His work is included in numerous international collections, including Madrid's Prado Museum, Museo Reina Sofia, Museu Nacional d'Art de Cataluna, Dubai Fashion House Soho and in private collections tons around the world. Montesol's exhibit "Miradas - Crossing Glances" will debut at the beautiful Boddy House in Descanso Gardens on Thursday, May 4, 2023; 6:30 until 8:30 PM.  Original Montesol art will be offered for purchase that evening, with half of the proceeds being donated to LCF Sister Cities. Those attending will have the first opportunity to acquire one of these original works of art.
